What an eventful week!
Highlights
- TUES: Some of our college folks came back and cooked us a great dinner (mapa tofu; tomato and egg; beef and brocolli). J had 6 bowls of rice. Thanks TK, TC, JC, and KL for a good time.
- WED: PK came over for Korean BBQ (Kalbi; panchan; some kind of seafood jigae). Told us how he deep fried 18 turkeys for his church last week.
- THURS: went to church for worship and sharing; had a light lunch; went to Starbucks right before closing [whew!]; headed to my uncle and aunt’s house for thanksgiving dinner with my parents, Andy’s family, and Jessica; tried deep fried turkey for the first time; need to go for the turducken next year.
- FRI: Andy, Kelly, and Ethan came over along with my parents. Attempted to play basketball; had hotpot for the first time as a family since the days we were back in NJ.
- SAT: we did some rake leafing; uh, I mean leaf raking at church; went to TC’s place to watch Tech smote the Wahoos. Since J is teaching Matthew how to say Wahoo, we’re teaching him a word to go along with it: “stinks”.
In the end, I’m thankful for family, food, and football.
